The Arboretum Run is a lovely tradition that has been organized since Einar Søndeland started it in 1978. It had a record number of participants in 1983 with 587 runners, including Grete Waitz. The race offers distances to suit every taste in the beautiful surroundings of the Arboretum, where participants can choose to run one (2.7 km), two (5.4 km), or three (8.1 km) laps. For the children, a Mini Run of 600 m is set up, starting at 2:00 PM.
